Why Kenya?

Simple: The Big Five.

The dream of all safari travelers is to see the Big Five: lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants, and buffaloes. The Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya is one of the most notable and world famous game viewing parks. Not only might you spot the big five, you could also see millions of wildebeests and zebras that migrate from the Serengeti plains of neighboring Tanzania in search of water.

There are many other game reserves and national parks in Kenya: Lake Nakura National Reserve is a rhino sanctuary with fantastic bird watching opportunities. It also has a spectacular line of flamingos along the banks of the lake as well as pythons, leopards, lions, and giraffes.

Kenya’s Amboseli National Reserve is one of the more popular wildlife parks in Kenya - only Masai Mara National Reserve and Nakuru National Park receive more annual visitors. The 1,260 square mile reserve is famous for its big game, including lions, cheetahs, baboons and large elephant herds. While on a game drive here, you can also see the magnificent snow capped peak of Tanzania’s Mount Kilimanjaro. Soaring to 19,340 feet, it is the highest mountain in Africa.
